1.What is the Auction Gala Event?
The Auction Gala Event is the largest fundraiser for the Alamo School Education Fund. The Auction helps raise essential funds to bridge the gap between public funding and the true cost of a well-rounded, high quality education.
3.How does the Auction Gala Event work?
This year the Auction Gala Event will offer a Silent Auction of Class Baskets, Sign-up Events and a fun Live Auction. Due to great parent and community donations, there are a wide range of items and gift certificates offering “something for everyone.” Exciting bidding leads to lucky winners, with the proceeds going to the Alamo School Education Fund! 4. When is the Gala Event?
This year’s exciting Gala Event will be on Saturday, March 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at Round Hill Country Club. You won’t want to miss it or be late!
5. What happens at the "Gala Event"?
The Gala Event is the one night for all of Alamo Elementary School’s parents and teachers to get together for grown-up fun and fundraising. Starting with a no-host cocktail hour, guests will get to view and bid on Class Baskets, sign up for a Teacher Hosted Party and Camp Alamo, participate in a Raffle with a selection of prizes, and buy donated wine at our Premier Wine Table. A sit-down dinner will follow, and then we kick-off our Live Auction. Thrilling bidding ensues with guests trying to win vacations, private parties, VIP treatment at the school, and a few surprise items. The evening closes with dancing and always more fun, fun, fun!
6. Who benefits from the monies raised?
OUR CHILDREN!! Alamo School’s Education Fund subsidizes valuable programs such as classroom support teachers; library coordinator; and computer and music instructors. It also supplies funds for additional materials in these and many other programs. What would Alamo School be without Mrs. Statley’s fun computer learning sites, Mrs. Rauum’s creative approach to vocal music, or Mrs. Wehrley’s knack for introducing great books to our children?
